National Cathedral
On 22 November 2024, the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) concluded its investigation into allegations of corruption, abuse of power, and breaches of the code of conduct for public officers in relation to the construction of the National Cathedral.
Following the conclusion of its inquiry, CHRAJ referred the matter to the OSP for further investigation, if deemed necessary.
The OSP, upon reviewing the findings of CHRAJ, determined that further investigation was warranted. Consequently, the OSP has initiated a formal investigation into suspected acts of corruption and corruption-related offences, including the procurement of contractors and materials, payments made by a former Minister of Finance, Kenneth Nana Yaw Ofori-Atta, payments by the National Cathedral Secretariat, and other activities connected to the construction of the National Cathedral.
