YAC YAC rallies Ashesi University students

The campaign to engage the youth in the battle against corruption took a stop at prestigious Ashesi University on Friday 19 July 2024.

The Youth Against Corruption (YAC) initiative highlights the crucial role that young people can play in combatting corruption to ensure a future with less corruption for all Ghanaians.

The visit featured an interactive session where students engaged directly with officers of the OSP YAC team asking questions and discussing their concerns about corruption in various sectors. Many students expressed their willingness to contribute to anti-corruption initiatives and shared innovative ideas on how to tackle the issue.

One student commented, "It's encouraging to see the OSP reaching out to us. It makes us feel that our voices matter and that we can contribute to meaningful change."

"Ashesi University was established to address Africa's need for impactful ethical leadership as a remedy for entrenched  corruption.," said Professor Angela Owusu-Ansah, Provost of Ashesi University. "We are thrilled to partner with the OSP to empower our students in this vital area."

Officals of OSP emphasised the importance of integrity and ethical behaviour among the youth. They urged students to not only resist corrupt practices but also to actively report any instances of corruption they encounter.
