The Office of the Special Prosecutor is committed to harnessing the influence of thorough investigations and prosecutions to combat corruption in Ghana; however, recognising that altering the culture of corruption on a substantial and enduring scale demands a comprehensive, systematic approach, the Office emphasises the need for a large-scale corruption prevention drive.
Additionally, in accordance with section 2(c) of the Office of the Special Prosecutor Act, 2017 (Act 959), the Office is mandated to "take steps to prevent corruption." Consequently, the OSP has initiated various corruption prevention endeavours aligned with this objective.
