Estate of Kwadwo Owusu-Afriyie alias Sir John

Investigation is ongoing in respect of alleged improper acquisition of state protected lands at the Achimota Forest enclave and the Sakumono Ramsar site by the deceased former Chief Executive of the Forestry Commission, Kwadwo Owusu-Afriyie alias Sir John.

The office also filed an application at the High Court, Accra seeking confirmation of freezing and seizure orders issued in connection with the late Kwadwo Owusu-Afriyie's estate.

However, the High Court declined to confirm the orders, citing that the alleged tainted properties were discovered after the demise of Sir John. The Office has since filed an appeal challenging the decision by the High Court.
