OSP Partners with Private Sector to Tackle Procurement Corruption
The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), in collaboration with the Private Enterprise Federation (PEF), Good Governance Africa (GGA), and the Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition (GACC), has embarked on a nationwide tour aimed at educating and securing the commitment of private sector businesses to combat procurement corruption.
Engagement with Professional Bodies
The 6th conference of the Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants (CIAMC) in Accra saw the Office of the Special Prosecutor make a noteworthy impact with its insightful presentation and engaging discussions on the need for collective action in the fight against corruption.
Engagement with Religious Organizations
Section 2(c) of the 2017 Office of the Special Prosecutor Act (Act 959) mandates the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) to actively prevent corruption. Recognising the need for support from various stakeholders to fulfill this mission, the OSP is currently conducting outreach initiatives to connect with diverse segments of Ghanaian society.
Electoral Corruption Offences and Sanctions
The Office accepted an invitation from the Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition (GACC) and its partners to present on “Electoral Corruption Offences and Sanctions in line with the OSP’s mandate” at their Media Reporting Workshop on 7 February 2024. The workshop was held at Fiesta Royale Hotel in Accra.
