YAC, NYA Train Youth Leaders and Community Representatives on Anti-Corruption
13 Oct. 2026
The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), through its Youth Against Corruption (YAC-OSP) initiative, has collaborated with the National Youth Authority (NYA), Accra Metropolitan Office, to engage 74 youth leaders, community representatives and students in Accra.

The engagement was held on 13 October 2026 at St Joseph the Worker Anglican Church in Bubuashie, Accra, under the theme, “Youth Against Corruption: Understanding Its Effects, Prevention and Legal Consequences.”
Participants included Assembly Members, traditional authorities, youth leaders and students from Accra Academy and Accra Wesley Girls’ Senior High School.
The engagement adopted a Trainer-of-Trainers (ToT) approach, equipping participants with knowledge to share within their communities and institutions. Discussions focused on the effects of corruption on national development and public service delivery, measures to prevent corrupt practices, their legal consequences, and the role of young people in promoting ethical conduct.

The approach is intended to extend the reach of anti-corruption education beyond the training venue by encouraging participants to share the knowledge acquired with others in their communities, schools and leadership networks.

The engagement forms part of the OSP’s public education efforts to promote integrity and accountability, encourage public participation in preventing and combating corruption.
